Alice rests by her sister in a hospital room. While looking out the window, she drifts off into sleep.

Alice notices the White Rabbit (a female Candy Striper). Alice finds the Rabbit interesting because she is wearing an orange watch on her right wrist. It happens to be the same wrist that Alice wears her own orange hospital bracelet. She leaves her room to pursue the Rabbit.

Alice walks down a long dark Hallway full of floaitng picture frames and diplomas in search of the Rabbit.

The Pool of Tears
Alice is both upset and frightened now realizing that she has lost the Rabbit and her way. She cries making a pool of tears.

A Caucus Race and a Long Tale
Alice runs into other patients in the hall who are engaging in all sorts of activities on top of the water, which she just previously created with her tears.

The Rabbit Sends in a Little Bill
Alice gets stuck in the Rabbit's house (children's playhouse). The Rabbit sends for Bill the Lizard (a janitor) to retrieve Alice out of the house.

Alice talks to the Blue Caterpillar (jaded hospital patient).

Pig and Pepper
Alice runs into a room that is a combination of both an infant ward and a kitchen.

A Mad Tea Party
Alice finds herself as a guest at a mad tea party, where her hosts are the Mad Hatter (wig and hat supplier), the March Hare (hospital doctor) and the Dormouse (clerical).

Alice enters a more exterior environment, where roses have been painted red.

Alice engages in a game of croquet with the Queen. She must use a flamingo (plastic yard flamingo) to play.

The Lobster Quadrille
Alice meets the Gryphon (elderly patient) who then introduces her to the Mock turtle (elderly patient). Both the Gryphon and the Turtle dance to the Lobster Quadrille. At this moment Alice arrives at a realization about the absurdity of her surroundings. She then makes the pivotal decision to take her wig off.

Many of the characters that Alice has encountered on her journey are gathered together in the courtroom, where she confronts them about their absurdities.
